For the weeks before the first semester away.

Parents and students preparing for the first semester away.

A useful time to begin: move-in is approaching and expectations are unclear.

The student leads their own choices; a parent or chosen supporter joins the conversation. Each person prepares privately first, and you do not need to agree about everything today.

Respect the student's privacy and autonomy. Verify campus-specific support and safety information directly.

One shared plan you can revise together.

The Notion companion brings the same five steps into a workspace you can make your own.

Start at the home page: prepare privately, have one conversation, write the contact plan, check help and tasks, then review after the first month.

Prepare on your own

Step 1 starts at Prepare separately. Keep personal answers on paper or a private page outside the shared template, and bring over only what you choose.

Find the right route

Help pathways and contact card holds the official routes for each situation, including a call from far away. Unknowns stay Needs check with an owner.

Return when things change

First month review and repair keeps what works. A missed call or a plan that stopped working each has its own page, and the fictional example shows an original plan and its update.

Included with the complete kit, not a separate purchase. Requires your own Notion account; PDF and Word work without it. Your duplicate is your own copy. It does not send messages, set reminders, track location or monitor anyone.

Also in your kit.

Can I buy this guide yet?

This edition is available to preview while review and delivery checks are completed. Purchases are not open yet; the proposed price may change before release.

What is outside its scope?

Respect the student's privacy and autonomy. Verify campus-specific support and safety information directly.

Which formats can I use?

Use the fillable PDF in a compatible reader, print it, or use the editable Word files. Save, close and reopen a copy to check your answers. The offline HTML companion is for reading and does not save answers. Notion is optional and requires your own account; its customer-copy route is still being checked.
